As Rick mentioned in the Madrid section of the 2010 Europe guide this bus is a fantastic way to see the entire city. We just took this bus last week, what a bargain at 2 Euros. The driver couldn't quite figure out why we stayed on so long, literally an hour, but it was the best way to see the many neighborhoods of Madrid. Highly recommend this as a way to select which areas you want to return to for further exploration.
