My husband and will be spending three days in Sarajevo in September and are interested in a recommendation for a good local guide. Thanks for any help you can offer.
We had to cancel our Spring 2020 trip due to Covid so we did not get to use the guide we selected. However we were very impressed with her credentials and how she presented her tours. Also, the cancellation was handled very well. When we reschedule that trip we certainly will engage her.
Her name is:
Danijela Mehić
We found her on Tours By Locals

I have been working with the Ema at Funky Tours for my trip that will be 19 Sept through 5 Oct. Funky Tours offers affordable small group tours that max out at 8 people, as well as private tours. They have great reviews on Trip Advisor. They are based in Sarajevo. Their website has a wide assortment of tour options and, if you are interested, the FUTOMA link at the top of the page takes you to some really interesting articles about BiH (FUTOMA = Funky Tours Magazine).
I had the best walking tour of my life in Sarajevo with Amir Telebecirovic. That was in 2014. He has also worked as a guide for Rick Steves, and if you search this site, you'll find some information about him.
I don't know if he is still there, if he still offers walking tours, or if my contact info for him is still accurate. But you can try emailing him at [email protected].
