Which book on Sicily?

Thinking ahead to a trip that includes Sicily. We like to learn about a place before we go, so I have looked at a couple of books on Sicily at the bookstore. Which of these two (if either) would you choose?

Seeking Sicily: a Cultural Journey through Myth and Reality. . . . By Keahey (I forgot to note the first name) or

Sicily: Island at the Crossroads of History by Jules J. Norwich

We have read some but not all of Norlwich’s Venice history, and really enjoyed it, but it is not light reading by any means.

I would appreciate your thoughts on these, or other recommendations.

Lola,

I just read these two book and enjoyed them very much! You may find them at your local library ;-)

  • The Stone Boudoir by Theresa Maggio
  • A House in Sicily by Daphne Phelps

Enjoy!
