I watched a really good new movie on Netflix last night called, The Swedish Connection: "Tells the true, untold story of Swedish diplomat Gösta Engzell, who used bureaucratic, legal maneuvering to save thousands of Jews from Nazi deportation during WWII." Highly recommend!
Thanks for the recommendation. We are always looking for a good movie to watch in the evenings.
Christine, we first saw this on at our Antibes rental while snow-birding this past winter. Good for you for having posted about it. It is one of those rare WWII flicks that made a deliberate choice NOT to dwell too much on dreary awfulness with foreboding drone soundtrack.
It straddles the drama and the relatively light-hearted well.
I am done. the end
Thanks Christine, agreed this looks great, we're starting it this evening!
Thanks, Christine. I’ll add this to our list.
