To pass the time in self isolation, I have been wanting to watch the BBC documentary on art historian Sister Wendy Beckett. It’s not on youtube or Netflix. Anyone know where I could locate and view it?
We have a few of her cd.s and books. She's great. She is dead now. I believe we bought the cd.s on Amazon.com.
What a great idea -- if the public library were not closed, I could get it there.
I believe the dvd.s we have were a PBS production. Sr. Wendy traveled around Europe and highlights various art pieces. It's a well-done production. I only wish Sr. Wendy made more of them. She was a fantastic teacher. She drew me into the art world with her insights and humble demeanor.
I was wrong. The DVD collection is BBC. There are a few copies available on Amazon from $36
(used) to $47 new.
Several streaming services offer access to BBC’s extensive, libraries.
Stop by my house- I have it. Great series.
Seriously. A wonderful series that I highly recommend to everyone.
You can find some of her videos on Youtube.
Thanks everyone! I am not wanting to buy it, but I did find it at our local library. Now, if they would just open back up!
As I said in another post, I miss the library and the Y the most, but then I haven't run out of food yet. I, too, love Sister Wendy. She was such a star.
