Auntie Poldi and the Sicilian Lions (2015) by Mario Giordano is a fun summer read. A new detective “a lusty, bold woman who dives into Sicilian life with gusto...”. It takes place primarily in the locales of Days 8,9,10 of the Sicily tour. The author namedrops real vendors of the best places for granita, canoli alla crema di ricotta, and pizza in all of Sicily.

I would add the Montalbano Series by Andrea Camilleri. You can also watch the series on Amazon Prime. Set in Ragusa, food and local behaviors are well represented for Sicily.
