Is there a place on the RS website that shows when a guidebook will be updated? I have Switzerland published in 2014 and am wondering if/when it will be updated. Thanks!

Yes. Look at the "Specifications" of the guidebook of interest.
E.g.

Publication date: March 2014 (7th edition)
Next edition arrives: March 2016
You can check for updates. E.g.
