Other guide book on Belgium & the Netherlands

I've done a rough draft of a 2 week trip to Belgium & the Netherlands using RS tour books. I'd like to get other helpful tour books. We aren't exactly roughing it backpackers, but we travel light and try to keep our costs down. I'm considering Rough Guides or Lonely Planet, but I'm open to other suggestions.

TIA,

There is so much online anymore that I rarely need more than one guidebook anymore, at least if they are all covered in Rick's book for a country. And yes - he often leaves out a lot of places in a country, some places I would like to visit, so I'll use Lonely Planet, Rough Guide, or others to supplement maybe. I'd visit a book store if you can still find one and browse various travel books to see which book's style appeals to you. I'm lucky that my local library has a good selection of travel books, including Rick Steves guides.

What Andrew said: usually Lonely Planet or Rough Guide, but I enjoy going to the book store and sitting on the floor in the guidebook row and reading many to see which one strikes me for lay-out, information, organization, etc

Yeah you should look online for the official tourism board site for a country, or a region in a country all the way down to a city. Everyone has a web presence somewhere. For example https://www.exploregeorgia.org/city/lookout-mountain

If you live near a major city with a decent library system or book store they usually have a variety of publishers on the shelves.
