I foolishly bought the "Greater Than a Tourist - 50 Travel Tips from a Local" guide to Portsmouth and Hampshire. I was sorely tempted to post this in "Tourist Scams". The "Greater than a Tourist" guides are self-published and sold on Amazon. You will get better and more comprehensive "tips" from reading online reviews on TripAdvisor. I can't believe I fell for this.

Oh gosh, I've done that before. I downloaded some kind of "insiders" guide to Paris. Guess what? I must be an insider because there was nothing new! I could have written a better guide just looking for stuff on the web.
