Hello!
Just started a 6 episode TV series on Netflix called Legends. It's set in the early 90s, UK Customs forming an undercover group to go after importing drug dealers... given all the recent ETA/EES/ETIAS talk, it's interesting (to me, anyways) to be reminded of how it used to be done!
We started to watch it. It is based on a real story. So it tries to present a realistic view and stories. Appealing to our UK peeps.
Yup, i just finished the 2nd episode, pretty good! My brain can't comprehend that the early 90s are 'back then' though!
I used to work with a few people who did that kind of work in that era and boy did they have some war stories! I managed a couple of episodes but I started finding it a bit stressful. I kept wanting to shout ‘don’t do that at the screen’ but I will probably go back to it.
I enjoy Steve Coogan when he does straight acting but he will never be better than when he is Alan Partridge. ‘I’m Alan Partridge’ is comedy gold.
I think this show is beautifully made, with stunning cinematography that makes every episode a pleasure to watch.
