Legend of El Cid

I have been watching The Legend of El Cid on Amazon Prime. It is an Amazon original.

Very interesting information about Northern Spain and Portugal about the year 1000 AD give or take. I believe there is some accuracy although it is obvious that some is creative license .

Cinematography is beautiful.

It is giving me an idea of life during this period of time as well as an idea of some very real historical figures and events.

My knowledge of Northern Spain and this time period was nil so I am learning. I am a novice so have a long way to go.

I see that there is also a 55 minute documentary with almost the same title also on Amazon Prime,
but I haven't checked to see if it is clickbait yet.

I can not stop binging. I promise that I will never do this again and then I do it again.

I am finding the series somewhat confusing. First time learning about this part of the world but it is a beginning.

and then it is not all based on truth and fact. There must be a lot of creative license involved.

I will try the documentary eventually but since I am going to Barcelona in October, Want to read up / watch up on that area of Spain and the world.
