I highly recommend two TV series. “Hands – Irish Craftmanship” and its 37 episodes are on YouTube. ( https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZBo82eXTfUJ2hvLcmlG0oRxGYKKq5qNE ) These half-hour episodes were shown on RTE between 1978 and 1989. Episodes cover everything from wool spinning to harp making. I found it fascinating. Honestly, it had me from the first minute of Episode 1 when some young fellas, at the local Sheep Fair in a small Donegal town, are unloading sheep from the trunk of their car.
The second is “Building Ireland” on Roku, freevee, and Amazon Prime Video. “A team of expert presenters in engineering, architecture and geography explore some of the finest examples of Ireland's building and engineering heritage.” Even if this doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, I’d encourage you to watch Season 2 Episode 4 “Kerry Tourism” which explores how Kerry and Killarney Nat. Park became a tourist destination.
