Which guidebook should I buy? Rick Steves' Italy or Rick Steves' Best of Italy? Both are from 2018. What is the difference between the two books? I am taking a tour but would use the guidebook to plan my free time. We are traveling all over Italy, north to south in May. Thanks.

Best of Italy is a shorter version of Rick Steve's Italy, so does not include everything; Rick Steve's Italy is also updated every year, whereas the "Best of" is updated every other year.
My preference would be "Italy" over "Best of", but if "Best of" has every place you will go, then it would work fine.

During last weekend's "Test Drive a Tour Guide" Travel Expo in Edmonds, Washington, Rick mentioned that the Italy guidebook is their best seller, and has been for quite some time.

I have an older copy of the RS Italy guide. It is a great comprehensive guidebook. The latest version will meet your traveling needs throughout Italy.
