"Gloomy Sunday," a movie featuring BUDAPEST, thru 30-4O years of pre, during, & post WWII years

Based on a true story, focusing upon an original piece of Hungarian-authored classical music; whereby, especially at the height of WWII, whenever the piece was played, or aired on the radio, droves of people throughout the continent would jump off bridges, walk in front of vehicles, drown themselves, &/or otherwise attempt suicide.

Providing you can handle the above central plot line, and a secondary theme of the composer's menage a trois with his colleagues, all working at a typical/classic Buda restaurant, this film is a "must see" for anyone planning to visit Budapest for more than just a day, who wants to pick up the flavor of life in the Hungarian capitol city over some tough years, starting with the Nazis and ending with the Communists.
