Basque cultural center and museum in Boise, Idaho

It came across my socials tonight that the Basque museum of Boise is having a presentation on the 29th about the history of the Basque community there.

The Boise/Basque connection has come up before here during COVID when we had members doing internal trips to open-air destinations.

Unclear to me if there's a zoom link or other remote access to the presentation...

Hi Aviosemail,

I don’t have an answer to your question, but I’ve been there. My daughter & I took our photo in front of their building with the flags to post a “travel photo” - the Covid year when we replaced our 3-week planned trip to Italy with a 3-day weekend in Boise! Ugh! ; )

Oh gosh, Jean. That made me laugh. NOT the same at all.

The Basque heritage in Southern Idaho/Northern Nevada is indeed interesting and fairly surprising to most folks who come across it.

Unfortunately, I would doubt there's remote access. But maybe you should plan a trip to Jaialdi 2025 (July 29 - August 3).

With upwards of 30,000 attendees at the last festival, Jaialdi is the
largest Basque festival in the United States by far, and is larger
than most Basque festivals in the world. Many Basques living in the
Basque Country even make the trip to experience their own culture
through the lens of the Basque-American diaspora.
