"The Art and History of Assisi" by Nicola Giandomenico
I learned about this book from my B&B - La Pallota. It's an older book and can be purchased cheap on amazon.com. It includes a good sightseeing map in the back and makes a good coffee table type book. It explains the art and some of the churches in Assisi. It's an easy read with many photos. This is great for a travel overview or souvenir.
