Hi People, I’m reaching Korea on 7 Nov 4pm and leaving on 14 Nov 8pm. Planning to visit one city for 2 days first and spend remaining 3-4 days in Seoul.
Which is that one city should i visit this autumn? I’m a foodie and food is my first priority. Followed by sightseeing and culture.
I saw recommendations for jeonju, andong, daegu, incheon and Gwangju.
Where should i go? I’m traveling solo on public transport. Thanks.
Are you arriving in Seoul and then immediately going to this other city only to return to Seoul to depart home? Just curious because I am going to Korea for the first time as well also traveling solo (arriving Nov 10).
I'm doing Seoul first for 5 days and then Busan for 2 days. I'm going to stop in Gyeongju for a night in between though. Both are easily reachable via KTX. I think Busan may fit your bill. You can visit the seaside temple and there are famous seafood markets if you are in to that. Admittedly, some might say 2 days is a little short for Busan because it's kind of spread out, but I'm doing it and I think you can get a good taste in 2 days.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

If you’re looking for a two-day food trip in November, I’d recommend Busan. It’s got this amazing vibe with fresh seafood and a totally different feel from Seoul. You can check out Jagalchi Fish Market for seafood straight from the ocean—think live octopus, grilled eel, or spicy fish stew.
For street food, the BIFF Square is a must. You can find all kinds of snacks like hotteok (sweet pancakes with nuts) and tteokbokki. And don’t miss Haeundae Market; it’s full of hidden gems.
