We are looking to take a trip to Puerto Vallarta and want to spend three or four days in Yelapa so we are looking for suggestions of places to stay. We are looking for a quiet place that is close to the beach, any suggestions? I've been looking online but it's hard to know whether a place is doable or not. We are ok with rustic but not dumpy. Thanks much!
Hi, I am a frequent traveller to Puerto Vallarta. I haven't stayed overnight in Yelapa, only daytrips but many on the TripAdvisor Jalisco Travel Forum have. That would be a good source for you to check. Also, I follow a blog by an American couple working in Puerto Vallarta, who have spent their last two wedding anniversaries in Yelapa. Their experiences are very interesting and detailed as to where they stayed and ate/drank beverages etc. You will have to scroll backwards to find the occasions but the whole blog is very interesting and a new one appears every Sunday morning. Buen viaje!
OOOPS! I forgot the web address. www.setfreeinmexico.com Hope that you find the information you need there.
Buen suerte!
Yelapa is darned quiet and very peaceful. Three to four days would be way too much for me...Puerto Vallarta and the area are great. Suggest you search Yelapa at TripAdvisor website as several accommodations are listed with enough reviews to give you some direction. Enjoy your trip!
