Weekend in India

I will be on a business trip to Hyderabad and I am looking for recommendations on travel companies and options of what to do in India where I would travel to and from Hyderabad. I have never been to India before. I am pretty much open to anything. I am not a big lay on the beach and do nothing person. Love food, culture, history, music.

Appreciate any tips.

Thanks

Okay, I'm going to give you several links, which is not really what I like to do, but I think these will be helpful for you and I know nothing about India. :-) I doubt that you will get a lot of responses here, although hope on... :-) Someone last year posted a similar question and got a few responses (mostly referrals to guidebooks). https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/beyond-europe/business-trip-to-india

These links are to Reddit. You do not need to sign up to read them, and there is some good info there. Also, Reddit does have a Hyderabad subreddit that you might want to scroll through or even ask a question there.

I have only been to four ports on the west coast of India, but did enjoy them all.

Goa, Cochin and Mumbai are all worth a visit. Use a guide, half the people in Mumbai live in terrible slums (remember the movie Slumdog millionaire). Also, stay safe.

Though it's a long way from Hyderabad, the Taj Mahal in Agra would be worth the effort it would take to get there. It's truly one of the wonders of the world and still ranks as the single most awe inspiring site I've ever visited in over 60 years of international travel.
Whatever it takes - go there.
