Good day from Canada:
Looking for any info/recommendations from anyone who has visited the orangutans/komodo dragons in Indonesia/Malaysia would be greatly appreciated. Jim and I plan to travel in early 2019.
Thank you. Take care and be well.

Used to be that Bukit Lawang, Indonesia, was an easy place to see orangutans, https://wikitravel.org/en/Bukit_Lawang
No current knowledge.
Komodos are on Komodo and Rinca Islands on the other end of the archipelago. Used to be self-catering only, no restaurants, maybe it’s changed. Quickly reading TripAdvisor I see this is now visited by cruise ships so it’s probably too late to enjoy. Maybe something you arrange to Rinca would be better.
