Virgin Islands Ferry Help Needed!

Hello! My family and I have planned a trip to the Virgin Islands in late November that begins with a night's stay in Tortola; from there we are moving on to a week on Virgin Gorda. We are flying into St. Thomas and arriving at 4:48pm. I had planned for us to ferry to Tortola after arrival, but a recent check of the ferry schedules has me worried...it looks like the the last ferry for Tortola leaves Charlotte Amalie at 5:30. Ack! Is it possible that the ferry schedule will be expanded in November? Would a water taxi be an option for us? Looking for any guidance, as I fear we may need to cancel our hotel and find something in St. Thomas. Thank you!!

If you can skip Tortola, check the little island hopper flights right into VG from St Thomas. $125.

Unless it’s changed, The ferry dock (red hook) is quite a ways from the STT airport. You absolutely won’t make that connection.
