We are traveling to Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. Can someone suggest a converter that will work in all of these countries?
Generally speaking, you should only take dual voltage appliances or electronic devices when travelling abroad. These can accept both North American 110v and the 220-240 v electricity found in most other countries. Or a device wired for 220-240. Then you only need an adapter for the plug end of your device, to make it compatible with the electrical outlet. If your appliance is 110v only, then it can be fried even if you use it with a converter and adapter. Lightweight travel converters may fail unexpectedly.
This site gives info on voltage and plug types per country. Click on the plug type on the chart for more info.

Do you need a "converter" that changes electricity or just an "Adapter" that gives you the correct plug.
As CJean stated, it's best to take dual voltage items. Most "modern" electronices are dual voltage. Look to see if it says someting like 110-240V on the charger or plug.

The North American "A" should work in those four countries. However, it looks like the voltage needs to be 220-240V in those four countries.
So if your electronics are dual voltage, you should be okay. You can carry a "C" adapter in case you stay in a place that does not have an "A" outlet.
