I am going to Japan in November and wanted to book a few day trips. On this forum it was suggested that I use Klook. While I was trying to book on line, several day trips offered different starting times. However on the Klook website, I was unable to indicate the time slot I wanted. The selected dates did not indicate that the tour date was booked. Does anyone have any ideas about this? It sort of seems like Klook is not legitimate. Thanks
I understand Klook is legitimate and widely used. Perhaps it is your browser or screen or popup settings. Perhaps try another browser.
Klook is definitely legitimate. I booked through them (using my phone while in a vehicle) for a last-minute, next-day tour in Hanoi, and it was a wonderful tour, and the tour guide and I have stayed connected.
However, I do believe it is an aggregator site (offering bookings for tours that are actually conducted by various different companies, similar to Viator or Get Your Guide). If you continue to have trouble, maybe do a search for the name of the tour and see if you can find the actual tour company to contact.
A friend of mine is a big fan of Klook and uses it all the time. He recommended I book my JR Shikoku Pass via Klook and it worked perfectly for me. And had the advantage of being refundable any time before I activated it.
Not sure why you are having issues. Maybe your browser? Or maybe the site Klook is connecting to for that particular tour? A lot of Japanese web sites can be challenging to use. Booking a Japanese domestic flight via JAL's web site was an adventure for me.
I wouldn't give up on it for one problem. BTW, I booked my pass using Klook's app on my phone. Don't know if that makes a difference.
We are headed to Japan in October. While I was able to use Klook to book tickets to teamLab Borderless (Tokyo), I could not get the transaction to complete for Klook tickets to teamLab Planets (also Tokyo). If it was user error, I'm not sure what I was doing wrong. I finally gave up and just purchased those tickets directly from the teamLab Planets website. It was the only time I've encountered an issue considering I now have 6 sets of train tickets and 4 sets of activities tickets all booked on Klook. I do like having most of my tickets consolidated on one app. One additional note ... if you use Klook to book train tickets, you cannot reserve specific seats. So we booked our Shinkansen tickets directly on the Smart-EX website so we could get seats with a view of Mt. Fuji (if it's out). But we used Klook to book all our non-Shinkansen tickets. And Klook did a good job of getting us good seats that we are happy with.
