Traveling to Haifa in May do you think that it will be a good place for an artist to go?

I am planning a trip to Haifa Israel in May 2024 with the Baha’i pilgrimage, Do you think it will be also an interesting place for an artist ? I like to go to places that have lots of artistic scenes & landscape.& Art Museums Do you think Haifa will be appealing artistically as well?. What do you think I should plan a different trip for an artist point of view? Thank you for your thoughts.

There is a lot to see and plenty to put onto canvas. But as a Bahá'í who has myself been on the Pilgrimage, unless things have changed a lot recently, I don't think you will have a lot of spare time to get out the paints, or even the drawing pad. The Pilgrimage is tight on time already and very focussed. Certainly there are many subjects of interest in Haifa, Akka and Bahji. Maybe take a camera and paint from photos on return to your studio?

I hope that the trip is all that you hope and wish it to be - I have been following your other posts over the weeks - and maybe the thing is after you leave Haifa after the 9 days to set up in another town or city for a few days to paint...

Thank you. that makes a lot of sense. Good idea just take lots of photos and paint it when I get home. Do you think it’s a lot of people? Is the pilgrimage going to be packed with people? I know what the current health situation you think I should be concerned. Thank you.

I never felt cramped but this was before covid and we didn't contemplate such things.

I don't know how crowded it will be in 2024, sorry.

I do know that during all the recent major gatherings I have seen video of there has been consideration of participants concerns and always complied with the law.
