Hello, I booked tickets to go to Tahiti in Mid April-May. Any suggestions on where to got, what NOT to miss, where to stay and where to eat? We are two Friends (women) travelling and would like to hear suggestions from all ranges (splurging-budget travel), as long as safety is a priority.
We will be there for 2 weeks, and are willing to travel to other islands or near by áreas.
My travel information is dated as we were there many years ago, but wanted to give you our experience. We spent about 1.5 days on the actual island of Tahiti, it was o.k (Gauguin museum was fun) Spent a week on Bora Bora and a week on Moorea. Absolutely loved Bora Bora. Did a catamaran cruise, a 'shark feeding excursion', and rented a moped to go around the island. On Bora Bora we stayed in an over the water bungalow, incredible. We didn't eat there, but had some great drinks at Bloody Mary's. Still hope to go back one day. You will have an amazing time - water is so many shades of blue and insanely clear.
