have a trip to singapore but I do not want to take 15 hour flights fromwest coast US.? suggestions
We did five days in wonderful Singapore prior to a cruise from there to Dubai. We flew from the East coast on Delta/Air France, Atlanta to Paris CDG then another flight to Singapore. We planned an overnight to avoid double jet lag. We visited Versailles that day.
Based on where I live, any flight to Singapore is going to be a long one. I've usually traveled via Hong Kong (which itself is a brutal 15 hr flight from Toronto) but it's usually the quickest travel time even factoring in the connection. The one time I didn't was flying through Doha (trading a 15 hr flight for a 13 hr one) but it was made more pleasant flying Qatar Airways biz class.
If you really hate the idea of a 15 hr flight, then I'd do what the post above suggests and have a long layover somewhere to break up the trip.
I suggest flying Singapore Air. It was the best flight we have done and much more comfortable and enjoyable than many of our flights to Europe and the Caribbean
