I am trying to find a reliable tour company for touring Egypt and Jordan. One that I had found, seemed to have good reviews on line, but took more than 2 weeks to respond and then did not accept credit card and I realized that it is not worth a try. So appreciated any suggestion.
thank you,
I went with G Adventures. Had a great time! Try tourradar.com. You can compare tours and see ratings.
Gate 1 Tours is very cheap and a good tour company. Suggest a Nile cruise for southern Egypt.
My concern now is terrorist. Recently an IED blew up a tour bus killing three persons. Not good at all.

I had a good experience with Insight in 2007. Only 8 in our group, as I recall and they were very good.
I am traveling with Imprint Tours to Egypt and Jordan next year. Reid, who owns Imprint, is a guide with RS Tours and his company is endorsed by Rick. Imprint's tours came recommended to me by some fellow tour members (and my guide) from my RS tour earlier this year. There are only two dates for Egypt and Jordan next year, so options are limited, but I'm quite excited about it. Reid is very responsive as well.
I would second Rosemary. I've been on two Imprint tours, and can also recommend the company. However, I think the tours for next year may be almost full.
We went with Trafalgar Tours, "Wonders of Ancient Egypt" 12 day tour and it was great! We usually travel on our own in Europe and South America, only using tour groups in Kenya, Turkey and China where we would have language trouble. We went from Feb 12 to 23 and all aspects of the tour were just as expected and hoped for. Our guide, Ramadan was REALLY knowledgable. We saw everything we wanted without feeling rushed. Only our 2 full days of sightseeing in Cairo felt packed. Being on a cruise boat for seven days and nights allowed for time to appreciate all that Egypt had to offer, with lots of time just to relax and enjoy the beautiful and clean Nile. We never felt afraid or threatened or in danger at all. The Egyptian people we met were friendly and welcoming. This was a #1 bucket list trip for me, and it was a #1 experience. I HIGHLY recommend visiting Egypt. Trafalgar Tours, using Spring Tours as their in-country tour company did a bang-up job. I booked them through AAA, but you can reach them on your own. We made our own flight arrangements through Lufthansa, saving a couple hundred dollars apiece They will still pick you up at Cairo airport and see you safely off at the end of the trip.
