Considering going to Japan for 10 days or so. We would prefer to use a guided tour. Thinking about late January, early February. Any suggestions for a tour company?

Almost all the major tour companies are there. You can find just about any tour to fit your budget. I will say that all the buses seem to end up in the same parking lots and going to the same sights, so you may want to look at elements such as group size, price and hotel rankings if the itineraries are similar.
I used Inspiring Vacations which is a company based out of Australia. It had the itinerary I wanted at the price that I wanted. I was pleased with the tour which I took in Spring 2025 during Cherry Blossom time. Other tour companies that I have seen there include Gate 1, Intrepid, Globus. I have gone on Gate 1 tours elsewhere and they were good. My brother went on an Intrepid tour and really enjoyed it though you might find it the more expensive option.
