I'm planning a two week tour with a guided tour company. There is one day where we are on our own in Tokyo all day. How easy is it to travel to Disney Tokyo that day? We're planning on spending a day at the World's fair, too. Going in October.
It depends on where in Tokyo you are staying and where in Tokyo the worlds fair will be held; and how close you are to a subway, JR commuter rail, or bus station/stop; or if you want to use taxi. Disney Tokyo is east/southeast of the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station, it is also on a JR commuter line. Tokyo is a massive city and a huge metro area, so keep that in mind.
Even if you decide to do something else beyond the worlds fair and/or Disney Tokyo, Tokyo is a wonderful and fascinating city with lots to do, you can't go wrong!

By "world's fair" did you mean the World Expo 2025 in Osaka (not Tokyo) from April 13 to October 13, 2025?
Consider visiting Nikko, a day trip north of Tokyo, it is worth it, if you decide to skip Disney.
Yes, I saw a tour where you were on your own in Osaka and then another in Tokyo. I was wondering how easy was it to travel to each location on your own? Is it feasible in one day?
@reginacohan: Travel between Tokyo and Osaka, or travel within Tokyo?
Osaka is over 300 miles southwest of Tokyo. You can take the shinkansen (highspeed train) between Osaka and Tokyo in a little over 3 hours. Travel within Tokyo may still take some time depending on whether you take metro, bus, taxi, or commuter train.
I am not certain of your meaning: " I saw a tour where you were on your own in Osaka and then another in Tokyo. I was wondering how easy was it to travel to each location on your own?"
1) Did you want to travel between Tokyo and Osaka in one day? If yes, the answer above is good.
OR
2) Did you want to know about travel within Tokyo to Disney (above answer is good) and also travel within Osaka for the Expo?
If you want to know about travel within Osaka, take a look at this map of where the Expo is to be held and other Expo info. https://insideosaka.com/expo-2025-osaka-venues-site-guide-and-map/#:~:text=Expo%202025%20Osaka%20will%20be,worlds%22%20at%20the%20Expo%20site.
The Expo site is on an island requiring transport from central Osaka. Depending on where your hotel is, that can be several changes of lines - caveat, I don't know what might be set up specially for Expo transit. Osaka is a large city. Public transport is good and easy to use, but reaching any particular point in the greater Osaka area can be time-consuming.
