Planning a visit in mid October. PDX on Volaris Airlines (I've read the awful reviews) . Any and all recommendations and suggestions welcomed. Those torta ahogadas look tempting!

The stunning Orozco murals at Hospicio Cabañas are not to be missed. El Hombre de Fuego (The Man of Fire) is the centerpiece under the dome; what some have described as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas.
I’ve been many times and would go again. Inspiring if you are even remotely interested in art. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage site.
