Tel Aviv to Amman Jordan

Just so you know, cars cannot cross the border from one country to another. You will have to get out of the first car with your luggage and go through the border crossing (immigration and customs) and then get in another car with a new driver on the other side of the border. There are no safety issues in traveling between the two countries, both are safe. I was in a tour group, so no recommendations for a car service.

A friend of mine just did this trip independently. It's my understanding that you cannot cross by car west - east into Jordan from Israel. As the crow flies it's not a long distance but because of the political situation in the Palestinian territories it just isn't possible at all to do this easily or safely.
She drove from Israel to the northern tip of Egypt and then hired a taxi at the Jordanian border to take them up into Jordan. It's a long trip but maybe you could find a way to fly instead?
