Tasmania wildlife tours

Has anyone taken one of the tours in Tasmania focused on viewing wildlife in the wild? I’ve found a couple online and it is something I’d really like to do. (Our daughter lives in Sydney and we want to visit her and also go to Tasmania.) Any advice about viewing wildlife in the wild…not in a zoo or wildlife park? Thanks!

Sorry but I can't help re wildlife tours but I have been fortunate to observe a lot of wildlife when visiting Tassie.
I have yet to visit Maria Island (near the top of the to do list). Many Maria visitors do spot Tassie Devils. The Devils aren't indigenous to Maria but 28 were introduced there in 2012 for population safeguarding. I believe there is around 90 there now. They are nocturnal and spend there days in hollow logs and the like. Maria also has a healthy Wombat population as well as Bennett's Wallabies, Pademelons, I think Forester Kangaroos. Also Cape Barren Geese. Probably also Echidna and Platypus. So might be worth checking out.

South Bruny island has a small population of Fairy Penguins at The Neck (the isthmus connecting North and South Bruny). Shearwaters also nest there.
There are large populations of both Pedemelons and Bennett's Wallaby around Adventure Bay on South Bruny. I was lucky enough to spot one of the white Bennett's Wallaby on 2 occasions only a couple of kms from Adventure Bay campground.
Early morning early evening are the times to be spotting marsupials.
When we did the week long Cradle Mountain Overland Track hike we had many close encounter s with Wombat, Bennett's Wallaby, Pademelon, Brush Tail Possum, Echidna, Spotted Quoll. Also an amusing encounter with Currawongs (crow like birds). Another party hiking ahead of us left their packs at a side-trip track junction. When we arrived the Currawongs had unclipped and unzipped one of the packs and were feasting on Turkish Bread.
Also a few hikers have had tents destroyed by Possum and Wombat looking for a meal.
I haven't spotted a Thylacine yet lol.

So much of Tassie is wilderness so you will spot a lot of creatures as you travel about.
Be aware you need to purchase a Nat Park Pass to visit most of the good spots.
