We are a family of four traveling to Montreal and wanted to see if anyone had a suggestion for a private guide in Montreal.

I just looked at the Tourism Montreal website and it is a bit of a dog’s breakfast the way it is laid out, but try it anyway. For English click the word English in the upper left corner. Anyway, there are guided tours mentioned by a company and that company apparently offers private tours, as well. You could call them at
1 800 363 4021 toll free or 514 844 4021
Are you sure you want a private guide? The city is easy to see on your own and though language might be a slight problem here and there, nothing to worry about. There are walking tours available (see the Montreal Tourism site) and the hop on and off bus is said to be a fun tour. Much depends on the time of year you plan to visit, of course. A walking tour in the dead of winter is not likely to appeal. It is a pretty city and I hope you do come and that your family has a good time.
