Hola. Does it make sense to visit southern Chile (Torres Del Plaine, Lakes Dist, etc.) in October?
Since that is the April equivalent in the Northern hemisphere, I am concerned day hikes and general sightseeing may not be feasible in Torres Del Plaine (muddy trails, still snow, etc.). In addition, maybe the Lake District is also not desirable. Coldish temps are ok for us as we will have suitable clothing.
I am working out the itinerary for a mid-August to October trip in Chile. My wife and I start in August to ski, then want to hit as many Chilean sites as possible September & October (Santiago return flight is Oct 23, 2025). Return flight now booked is with miles so it is easy to cancel/reschedule if the southern area is undesirable.
