Single Woman Travelling in Egypt/travel company recommendations

Hello
I am a single woman who is looking to travel in Egypt; the usual sites...Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Nile Cruise. I am used to booking and travelling solo but am hesitant to do that in Egypt. Does anyone have recommendations for a travel company that books small groups or does solo tours? I prefer a dahaibya or a small ship. I have spoken to Overseas Travel Adventures (OA) but am looking for another option.

Thoughts on a woman travelling solo in Egypt? I am pretty intrepid but recognize culturally this might not be a good idea, especially right now.

Former Rick Steves guide Sarah Murdoch does small group tours to Egypt. I have not been on one of her tours, so no personal experience.

Check out Go Luxor tours-we used them for a private tour and then booked the dahabiya with Djed.

It would STRONGLY ADVISE you to sign on with a tour group. DO NOT try going alone.

I lived in the Middle East for five years. Tour groups have an armed guard provided by the government. Women alone is not good.

We went back to Egypt for the third time in January with Gate 1 Travel and it was wonderful. OA is a very good tour company as well.

Check their prices. We paid a little over half what Viking was going to charge for the same tour.

Our tour included TWO cruises, one from Abu Simbel to Aswan and the second from Aswan to Luxor. They were not the dahalbya type. I would not want to do that myself.
