Singapore: looking for guidebook suggestions

Hi, I will be in Singapore for two days before a work meeting begins in September. Looking for suggestions on a guidebook that has been used successfully. And of course any other insight is appreciated.
Thanks

With only two days I wouldn't bother with a guide book. Get everything you need off the net before you go.
My suggestions ...
Raffles & Colonial District
Singapore River - Boat Quay & Clarke Quay
Little India - Mosque & Hindu temple
Chinatown - Chinese temples
Asian Civilizations Museum
Singapore National Museum
Singapore National Gallery
Singapore Botanic Gardens
Singapore Flyer
Marina Bay Sands
Gardens By The Bay
Singapore Zoo

If you are looking for a hotel I can recommend the Fullerton which was converted from the grand old post office.

Per Brad, Singapore does indeed have some of the best street food in the world. Look for the "Hawker Stalls" that you'll find all over the city - just watch where the locals go. The stalls don't look like much but the food is both terrific and cheap. Can choose from a multi-ethnic smorgasbord that includes various types of Chinese, Indian, Malay...you name it - it's there.

Have had 3 stop overs in Singapore in past 8 years. You can't go past the Hop on Hop off bus. Takes you to all major sites. Marina Sands Hotel, , Gardens by the Bay, Clarke Quay, Little India, Chinatown Raffles, Singapore Gardens, Orchard road etc. etc. Sentosa Island is very doable either by bus, train or chair lift.
