Seoul, Korea and Incheon Airport. Questions

I was able to renew my passport on line and. can very seriously now plan my next cruise. Still I will not book until I have my passport in hand.

I have lost some opportunities because of my late planning. and only one Asian cruise works for September / October.

I am interested in a package through Norwegian which includes three nights in. Seoul and then a cruise to Yokahama. The total price is acceptable but still probably overpriced.

For now, my question is about entering Seoul (Incheon Airport)

I have read that all Americans will require a K-Etia or is it K-Eta? Is that correct? Is that something you do on line? Was it simple?

And only very recently, some sort of health e-forms are required for some Americans due to Influenza. Has anyone had to deal with this? But I will not be traveling until September.

I am thinking of looking into flying Korea Air Lines because the reports have been so favorable. Or maybe jAL because the reports have also been favorable.

Once the cruise is booked, I may ask for some feedback about the hotel and Seoul sightseeing in my package. But I definitely will be asking for suggestions and feedback about my ports and Yokohama.

Hi, Boston Phil! I just landed at Incheon and went through immigration last week so I can tell you the latest!

The Korean ETA requirement for US citizens is currently on a waiver for 2025. You will not need to worry about this.

There are two forms required. The first is a landing card which you have the option of filling out electronically up to three days in advance. You may also fill it out on the plane by hand.

The second is a health questionnaire. This is also available on the plane to fill out or there are tables with forms right next to the location where these are collected.

The order for the airport is health form/screening, passport control, luggage, exit.

I flew Korean Airlines and had a very positive experience.

I agree with Carol Now Retired. I flew last September into Seoul, and it was just as Carol described, extremely easy. I stayed for 8 days with my son and we had a great time; we never ran out of things to do or see and could have spent even more time there.

We generally fly Delta due to loyalty rewards and it is also a hub for flying in/out of Atlanta. We did however fly Korean Air for that trip; it was my first time with Korean Air and I would definitely fly with them again given the chance, rather than Delta. I highly recommend them, excellent service.

Thank you Carol and Lucky Girl

And Carol, you are taking time out from your trip to respond!

Thank you both for the information.

I received an email confirming that my payment for passport has been processed and I can now track its progress.

I have credit cards with both Citi American and American Express Delta and I belong to the rewards programs but do not yet have enough rewards for international flights. . I. could book air through Norwegian for about half price but you never know what you will get.

I am going to look into Korean Air and Japan Air just to see what I might get.
