Requesting thoughts and opinions on arranging a private tour from Inchon airport with a 7hr layover. We are scheduled to land at 16:30hrs and depart 23:30hrs (on a Saturday) for Singapore. Just looking to make the most of our time…get out for a nice meal, see some sights, etc. One private tour proposed pickup at 5:30pm drive (1.5hrs) to “The Spot”(?), eat and see some sights and return to airport at 10pm. From another posting I understand we may need transit stamps from the airline and extra clearance from Passport control to leave (and return) the airport. Is this a realistic timeline?
I am taking a cruise from Yokohama to Seoul (Inchon) in October.
I will be overnighting in Inchon so I have been looking into shore excursions.
I believe that I read it is a 70 minute drive from Inchon to Seoul each way and that is assuming traffic is good..
Inchon seems to be a very attractive city with a lot to do and the airport seems to be interesting as well.
Realistically, I do not know that you will have enough time to comfortably do anything outside of the Inchon airport on your layover.
Between getting off the plane, going to the bathroom, clearing immigration, and getting your bags, and doing that in the reverse order when getting back on the plane, plus commuting time to and from Seoul, you're barely going to be spending any time in the city itself. Traffic in Seoul isn't fun! Seems way too stressful. Juice isn't worth the squeeze on that one.
