Hi all. We will be arriving in Santiago bright and early on a Monday morning. I’ve been trying to find any walking tours, or activities to keep busy on Monday, as many museums are closed that day of the week. We have 2 days scheduled with a private driver, who will take us out of town to a few different wineries.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance !
I assume you mean Santiago de Chile? I really enjoyed going up to the top of Gran Torre Santiago, the tallest building in South America, the views of the city and surrounding Andes mountains were incredible. At the bottom of the tower there are plenty of high end dinning and shopping options. Strolling around Santa Lucía Park in the evening was also pleasant.
As Carlos suggested, Santa Lucía park and hill, walking through the central market or Vega Chica market, and Costanera Center was nice when we were there. It’s simply a mall. Féria Artesanal Santa Lucía, Los Dominicos handicraft village, or take the funicular up to Cerro San Cristóbal.
We visited bodegas Concha y Toro and Undurraga one day. We enjoyed the Undurraga tour much more than the Concha y Toro. Outside of Santiago we took the bus over to Valparaiso.
