Romania, land of enchantement

Good day to all,

I just joined RS's Europe Forum and although I know Rick has covered Romania in a recent documentary, I would like to say that there are so many other interesting points of travel in Romania, historically speaking. From Moldova to Transylvania, from Maramures to Dobrogea, there are so many varied cultural and natural wonders awaiting to be explored.

I was born in Bucharest, the capital city of Romania and now live in the US but I go back and visit family and friends as often as I can. I would absolutely love to see Rick go back to Romania at a point in the near future and focus on the lesser known touristic attractions, such as the painted monasteries in Moldova, the Corvin Castle in Hunedoara, the Danube Delta, just to name a few.

Glad to have joined this Forum.

Hello,

Looking forward to visiting Romania in June. Spending time in Bucharest but going to Moldova-painted monasteries and Danube Delta.

Welcome to the forum. Romania is on my list of places to visit, so many places so little time. Alas, it will have to wait till we retire in 2 years. Hope you are still with us then.
