Thanks for the link. I still get the print edition, so I saw the article, but the photos were in black and white, so they didn't have the same impact.

I remember getting two of my passports there. I was a bit disappointed when they switched to mail-in renewals!

I have loved Rockefeller Center since childhood. It amazed me that there were stores underground. And we used to skate in the rink.

While the historical and artistic aspects discussed in the article are of the ultimate importance , a comment at the end of the piece brought a smile and laugh for me . - My dentist ( my wife and I visit on a regular basis ) is on the eighteenth floor of the building on the corner of fiftieth and Fifth ( the Atlas sculpture ) . I always wondered why the whole floor were dental offices ! Mystery explained !
