Recommendation for A Safari at end of May or Early June 2026 with daughter on college break

We have an opportunity to travel with our college age daughter that just opened up on late notice for late May or early June 2026. We are thinking of a safari and looking for recommendation of companies to join one on late notice. Any recos based on experience?

I've been on quite a few safaris in Southern Africa--South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, etc....I've been so very happy with my travel planner, who is based in CapeTown, but arranges safari all over the south....she has an 800 number. If you are considering Southern Africa, you might give her a call, or e-mail; she'd be good at fitting you in at a few camps at the last minute...she works with all budgets.(many people book a year or two ahead..). Let he know that erica from New York sends regards..

Regarding self-drive: a friend of mine, "mature" woman, often takes herself, solo, on a self-drive in Kruger National Park.

My wife and did a safari in two private camps in greater Krueger in October last year using Africa Dynamics based on a recommendation from our neighbor. We would highly recommend them.

My son did a safari in Zimbabue and a short one in South Africa. Also, later, did one with us three years ago in Kenya and Tanzania.
He said that the best safari was ours in Kenya and Tanzania in early August during The Great Migration.
It was fantastic. We used Good Earth Tours, a local Tanzania company.
Also, it was very reasonable price for 11 days that included a day in Nairobi. Our safari cost about $4500 pp and we had a private guide/driver for four persons in our off road vehicle with pop up roof.
