Playa del Carmen - accommodations in January 2024

Hello - I plan to be in Playa del Carmen, travelling solo, looking for suggestions for a good hotel that you have enjoyed. (ideally in past year) No all-inclusives, please. Budget is under $100 USD/night.

Thank you for the recommendation - could you please be more specific as to which Xcaret? The one I am looking for is an AI not within my budget.
