Places I Recommend Visiting when in Fort Worth Texas.

Last July 2017, we started our journey to Fort Worth for a 10-month commitment with AmeriCoprs. I could say that this place is one of my favorites.

So without further a do, here is a list of places i recommend you visit when you get the chance to be there.

  • Fort Worth Botanical
  • Japanese Garden
  • Fort Worth Water Gardens
  • Istanbul Grill (my favorite place to eat)

Have you visited this place also? Would love to know what places were your favorite.

This post originally had a link to a "blog", I didn't click on it as I considered it was potentially spam so it's interesting to note that the reference to a blog has gone but the post remains.

Personally I found Fort Worth incredibly boring, went there for the day as a side trip from Dallas (another city with not much to do other than the JFK exhibition). I preferred Austin but that was primarily due to the food and nightlife.

I lived in Fort Worth for 3 years. I hated it. I was only there as my husband was in a doctoral program there. I was also an AmeriCorps volunteer, but in another location.

The Fort Worth Zoo is the best in Texas.
Margaritas on the patio at Joe T. Garcia's (though skip the food)
