I have four days in Panama, staying in Panama City, and looking for day trips.
I'm not looking to do an overnight stay anywhere else, just day trips. I'm open to all kinds of experiences -- islands, canal tours, indigenous communities, mountain scenery and hiking, rainforest, birds and wildlife, anything really.
If you've been there, what were your favorite excursions?

You can take local Tours to National Park just attached to panama city. You can go to panama canal trip. You can go to close st beach. All are within a day Tours. But i suggest you to go to any beach restaurant outside area to try great fish and relax. All depends on your budget. But in your place I would go out of Panama city
I stayed santa fe. Is about 3 hrs drive. You can spend time there. Much better than jumping from Panama city. While in Panama city try seafood market..
