Nova Scotia / PEI - recommended tour company ?

I wanted to check here and see if anyone would like to share their experience of a tour to the Nova Scotia/PEI area. I see that Road Scholar offers a NS/PEI trip that looks good. I've never taken a tour with a company other than Rick Steves. Any advice or input is greatly appreciated. The traveling party would be myself (late 50s) and my 2, twenty-something daughters.

Thanks!

I did the Gate 1 tour there last June. It was great. Interestingly enough, there were more expensive tour companies such as Tauck operating similar tours. However, we always ended up staying at the same hotels at several locations. I found myself wondering why anyone would pay so much more for their tours.

This would be a friendly situation for multiple ages with Gate 1.

We did a Road Scholar trip to NS and PEI last year and had a great time. Yes, everyone was over 50, but that is not a Road Scholar requirement. It was not a trip full of old people.

The trip we took went to Campobello, which was one of my reasons for choosing the trip that we did.

One of our fellow forum members took a tour of the Maritime Provinces with Insight Vacations.

I won't name the person for privacy reasons but he/she/they/them was also a RS tour devotee but had a great time on this tour.

Are you set on going on a tour? The reason I ask is that Nova Scotia and PEI (I've been to both) are very easy destinations to do independently, rather than go with a group tour. This way you can stay where you want, you choose the number days in each destination, you choose your hotel, etc.

kmkwoo,
Well, I actually just don't enjoy driving at all and wanted a tour to avoid having to rent a car and do the transportation bit myself. However, I have a feeling it will be the best option. Unless one of you wonderful people know of transport options in the NS/ PEI area ..... :)

Thanks,
