Horrors! The disease hasn't been confirmed, so I won't name what the journalist heard but didn't confirm. Oh, the heavy workload for all the crew.
Norwegian has cut so many corners in recent years due to financial difficulty, that I wonder if that could contribute to this.
This disease doesn't travel from person to person but through contaminated food or water, shellfish for example.

I read that also yesterday. Wondering also if they have confirmed what illnes and/or source? Something we dont hear much about and would be terrible to deal with for passengers and crew!! We cruise on various lines and can only imagine!?

Just seen an update on a cruise FB page from someone who was waiting to embark in Mauritius. I quote Chaos erupted at the port as the day went on and the lack of coordination and communication left thousands of us in a boiling marquee for 3 hours while hotels were sorted out and buses laid on to get us to them

So those due to embark are now in hotels awaiting orders.

Have seen conflicting reports about cholera. Some reports indicate it has been ruled out and others say it will be Tuesday ( i.e., tomorrow) before test results are known.

Hopefully it gets sorted out so the appropriate measures can be taken
