We have flown direct from DFW to SCL before but I've searched all airlines and all flights have a layover in Miami or Atlanta. I even searched recently and saw them but now they've disappeared. Does anyone know why or if this is temporary? That was one of our main reasons for choosing South America. Thanks!

It probably depends on your travel period. Currently AA offers nonstop round trip flights from DFW to SCL in September.

According to this website (link below), American Airlines has direct flights on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during September and October. It appears direct flights are daily November through July.

Interesting! I should have added we are traveling in July 2024. I've been watching flights waiting for our specific dates to open up. At the end of June they were offering nonstop flights, now all flights go through ATL or MIA. Anyway, thank you for the feedback! I'll keep checking back.

Looks like Chilean ski season is not a big enough draw to keep the nonstops going out of DFW.
