Night Trains in Romania

I need a little help navigating the train websites in Romania. I have been to both of the of the following sites to purchase night trains from Sighetu Maramus to either Sighisoara or Sibui, and I can see the trains I want, but I do not see where to purchase the tickets. I', concerned because this is a night train, so I need to be sure I have the tickets. At the first site below, there is even a discount for ordering tickets ahead of time, so I know it can be done. Any advice?

Or does anyone have any other suggestions for me?

Thank-you!

I just looked at seat61.com about buying tickets for trains within Romania and he appears to have suggestions other than the ones you've listed. You might take a look that if you haven't already.

Dear Janet,

Thank-you for trying, but nothing there helped me. I'll just keep trying.

Of the various connecting schedules, I'm not sure which one is most attractive to you. But the only one with a "Buy" button on a test date this month (using your first link) is the one that connects at Predeal in the morning. You may get different results if you try to buy each leg of the trip separately, at least for those legs that offer reservations. Not all offer reservations and not all are sold online.

Even if a reservation is compulsory, that does not mean that you have to book way ahead. I would plan to buy tickets in a train station, either in Romania or a neighboring country, preferably a few days ahead.

I can't resist pointing out that, as scary as our world is right now, us old timers can remember when the title of this post would have conjured up some pretty scary images. And now, this title is just about the logistics of traveling on them. I think that's pretty cool.
