Need Toronto Area Help Please!

Hello,

I am drinving from near Cleveland to Canada to visit 2 stores: Puzzles Canada in Georgetown and Puzzle Nerds in Toronto.
My plan is to drive (4 1/2 hours) Friday afternoon and stay in a hotel near Georgetown. Get up Saturday and do my shopping and then head home Saturday evening. I might get another hotel stateside on Saturday if I am too tired to drive.

Questions:
1. Can you recommend a typical RS hotel (clean, no frills) hotel near Georgetown and more toward the city, or a hotel rich neighborhood that would be appropriate?
2. Any advice about driving into Toronto and parking near the Puzzle Nerds store-2761 Dundas St W?
3. It is a focused and short trip, so won't be sight seeing, but I will need a place to eat lunch if you have any recommendations.

Thanks in advance!

I've never been to the Georgetown area, so can't recommend accommodations. But your closest bet is probably the Best Western Halton Hills. All I can say is that the traffic on Friday afternoons and Saturdays will be a real bear. Whatever time estimates Google maps gives you - double it. And pack your patience. Dundas St W in that area is narrow and very busy. Street parking would be a miracle. Your closest bet is likely the Green parking lot across from the fire station, a block south of Dundas on Keele street.

Thank you CJean, that is the hotel I came up with when doing a search. Thanks also for the traffic warning.

Would it be feasible to park somewhere outside the city and use public transportation?

With the caveat that I haven't done this myself : Drive to the Mount Pleasant GO station. Parking is free. Take the GO train to the Bloor GO station. Hourly, about 40 ish minutes. Then take a bus (check # and route on Google maps) about 15 min. Should be a short walk to your store.

If you are driving along the 401, take the Black Creek Drive exit instead of Keele St. Go to the end of Black Creek, turn left on Weston Rd; Weston turns into Keele St.

Google shows a parking lot just before Dundas on the right hand side of Keele St. If that is full, and you have a GPS, there is a large parking lot on Indian Road, about a 15 minute walk from your store; don't know how bulky your purchase will be.
